The Business Storefront Improvement Grant will provide financial support for any business within Flin Flon's municipal boundaries to improve building exteriors.

The Business Storefront Improvement Grant intends to help business owners in the City of Flin Flon improve the face of their businesses by providing funds for exterior building upgrades. In addition to improving the appearance of an individual building, these upgrades are expected to contribute to overall business enhancement. 

The Business Storefront Improvement Grant is a matching grant offered by the City of Flin Flon that will provide up to 50% of the project cost, with a maximum municipal contribution of $10,000 per project, from a total fund of $60,000.

 This grant program seeks to encourage local business community members to contribute to the enhancement of their businesses and, by doing so, create a vibrant, welcoming City of Flin Flon!

The Business Storefront Improvement Grant is part of the City of Flin Flon's commitment to supporting the business community: the grant assists business's efforts to improve the look of their business exteriors, and revitalize our business areas.

This grant is an initiative of the City of Flin Flon.

One-Dollar Lots

In the City of Flin Flon, our goal is to increase the housing stock in the City of Flin Flon, and make it easier for our residents to put down roots in the community.

Part of that goal includes not only keeping housing affordable, but making it easier for new homeowners and developers to build the homes they want to live in, or that meet the current market demand.

That's why we're offering prospective homeowners and property developers residential lots they can buy for only one dollar!

Our goal is to increase the housing stock in the City of Flin Flon, and make it easier for our residents to put down roots in the community.

Our residential lots are fully serviced with water, sewer, and electrical infrastructure ready to be connected, and are ready to accept new builds or Ready-to-Move homes.

There’s a few things to keep in mind when you’re taking advantage of this amazing offer:

  • Development must be residential in nature. It cannot be a commercial development.

  • Construction must be completed within two years after taking possession of the lot.

  • Builders must provide a residential building permit, complying with all building and zoning bylaws within six months of the application date.

  • Builders must apply for any variances through normal channels.

  • Buyers will cover the cost of all required documents regarding taxes and fees, including legal fees.

  • In addition to information available from the City of Flin Flon, builders are expected to conduct their own due diligence prior to building.
