Regional Economic Development
The FDC economic development group has historically represented Flin Flon, Creighton, and Denare Beach, collectively promoting regional partnerships and economic development in the tri-community area.
The FDC is made up of CAOs and Mayors from the tri-community area, an Economic Development Officer, and the FDC Tourism Collaborative, representing business operators and city employees engaged in tourism and hospitality within the region.

Tourism
The FDC Tourism Collaborative is made up of business owners, public officials, and community members who are engaged in the recreation, tourism, and hospitality space.
The team meets once a month to discuss opportunities to collaborate on promoting the region, create a supportive business environment, and help Flin Flon’s tourism and hospitality industry become greater than the sum of its parts.
The FDC Tourism Collaborative has recently collaborated on initiatives like Be A Tourist In Your Own Back Yard, a trade-show like event that helps local Flin Flonners learn more about the hospitality businesses available in their region. They have also had conversations with Tourism Saskatchewan to discuss challenges and opportunities from the 2025 wildfires
If you’re a business owner in the tourism or hospitality space who would like to join the FDC Tourism Collaborative, please reach out to our Economic Development Officer Taku Mushosho at tmushosho@flinflon.ca.
