Municipal Funding

The City of Flin Flon makes funding available for not-for-profit organizations that provide services and improve the quality of life in Flin Flon. This support can be both financial and in-kind, and can support special projects, programs, and events that support the City of Flin Flon's strategic goals.

Funding for projects, programs, and events are subject to eligibility criteria. The application seeking funding must:

• Be not-for-profit.
• Provide services to residents of the City of Flin Flon.
• Be actively seeking other sources of funding.
• Be able to provide proof of financial responsibility, evidence of need for service or project, and the estimated number of local residents served.
• Provide evidence of clear goal and expected outcomes.
• Demonstrate that the service is unique (no duplication).
• Provide evidence of financial need.
• Provide the organization’s sustainability plan.
• Indicate involvement from other community partners.

The following uses are excluded from eligibility:

• Applications from individuals.
• Activities that are restricted to people of specific religious or ethnic groups.
• Annual general fundraising campaigns.
• Debt retirement.
• Expenses related to attending seminars, workshops, symposiums, or conferences.
• Agencies that primarily fund other organizations.
• Operating costs.
• Out of province events.
